The Pottawatomie County Economic Development Corporation (PCEDC) will soon be going out to bid to extend utilities and build a new road — Shanote Lane — in the current Wamego Industrial Park. These expansions will make the 27 acres owned by PCEDC immediately available for new development.
PCEDC will be funding the extension and improvements with a budget of over $300,000.
“We hope this investment will attract a company or two onto these 27 acres that will employ significant amounts of workforce,” PCEDC executive director Jack Allston said. “These improvements will make the site ‘shovel ready,’ which will speed up the process of building new facilities on these sites.”
